Last Thursday, Fitzrovia Post Production & Voiceover Studios transformed into a buzzing summer venue as we hosted the We Are Doc Women Summer Party 2025. A vibrant, mission-led celebration to raise funds and awareness for gender equality in factual television. Around 250 filmmakers, producers, execs, and creatives filled the space, turning it into a high-energy hub of conversation and connection. Backed by Fitzrovia, the event featured free-flowing drinks and a buffet spread included with the £15 ticket, keeping spirits high throughout the night. Our team, led by Keiran Brown, worked tirelessly transforming the space into what one attendee called “a huge and brilliant success”. Online, the buzz was immediate: We Are Doc Women called it “a big one,” while Instagram posts urged followers to “RUN don’t walk” to grab tickets. The celebration was more than just a party—it was a powerful fundraising drive in support of We Are Doc Women’s ongoing work, including mentoring, campaigning, and professional development for women in factual film. Founded in 2017, the organisation champions women directors and producers, driving change through initiatives like the 50/50 Pledge and publishing reports that have exposed systemic bias in hiring and pay (The Guardian). With sign-ons from the BBC, Channel 4, Prime Video, and more (We Are Doc Women), their momentum continues to build—and we were proud to play host. The night embodied everything we value at Fitzrovia: creativity, community, and a commitment to progress. Here’s to many more.
