🎥 We’re Long‑listed for a Grierson Award!Al Fayed: Predator at Harrods

Since airing on BBC Two in September 2024, Predator at Harrods has had a powerful and far-reaching impact. The documentary featured first-hand accounts from over 20 women alleging sexual assault and rape by Mohamed Al-Fayed. Allegations that reportedly reach into the hundreds when coupled with investigations by the Metropolitan Police (The Guardian). In its wake, legal teams launched global civil claims on behalf of survivors and reopened investigations previously thought closed (Le Monde, El País). Harrods responded by issuing a formal apology, acknowledging institutional failures, and removing Fayed’s statues and personal tributes from the store (Vogue Business). The documentary also sparked broader industry reflection, with figures in the fashion and retail sectors calling for long-overdue cultural and legislative reform (Vogue Business). Long-listed for a Grierson Award is one of the UK’s highest honours for documentary storytelling, Predator at Harrods is being recognised not only for its journalistic depth but for its role in catalysing real-world change. For us at Fitzrovia, providing sound on this project wasn’t just a job, it was a commitment to elevating survivors’ voices and contributing to a collective demand for accountability.
